Michael J. Mullaney, DPT, owner of Mullaney & Associates Physical Therapy, Matawan, was the recipient of the Excellence in Research Award at the recent combined sections meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association in Las Vegas. He also moderated an educational session, "The Aging Athlete's Shoulder" at the meeting. Mullaney was honored for a study he co-authored, "Correction of Posterior Shoulder Tightness is Associated with Symptom Resolution in Patients with Internal Impingement."

Jorge F. Corzo, M.D., a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist affiliated with Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, has opened a new office at 100 Commons Way, Suite 150, in Holmdel. He is the medical director of rehabilitation services at Riverview Rehabilitation Center at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.

Meg Koehler, R.N., B.S.N., M.B.A., Middletown, has been appointed to the eight-member board of The New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Parsippany. A registered nurse, she is executive director at Seashore Surgical Institute LLC, Brick.

Greg Remaud has been named deputy director of the New York/New Jersey Baykeeper, Keyport. Remaud has been with Baykeeper 14 years, and previously served as its director of conservation. He will continue to work on land acquisitions and with community leaders to preserve the environment, and represent NY/NJ Baykeeper on statewide open space concerns. NY/NJ Baykeeper's mission is to protect, preserve and restore the ecological integrity and productivity of the Hudson-Raritan Estuary.

Bayshore Community Health Services, Holmdel, has announced four of its physicians have been board certified in their area of expertise. The physicians are: Olga Dvorzhinskiy, M.D., board certified in anatomic pathology; Negin Noorchashm Griffith, M.D., diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery; Gregory Scott Lesser, M.D., board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine; David Vincent Lopez, M.D., diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and board certified in orthopaedic sports medicine; and Asaad H. Samra, M.D., board certified in plastic surgery. Pattie Anne Caslow, RN, BSN, CEN, Lake Como, has been named director of nursing, critical care at Bayshore, and will oversee nursing operations in the emergency department, intensive care and telemetry units. She has been on staff since 1985.

Lee Rothberg, Matawan, will have her story "Reflections of a Shared Life," included in the upcoming book "Chicken Soup for the Soul: Twins and More." Rothberg's story tells the joys and adventures of life with multiples. The book features more than 100 stories from parents of multiples, and from grown twins and triplets. It also includes sections on grandparenting, sleep deprivation and other topics.

Monmouth Cancer Coalition will offer oral cancer screenings 10 a.m.-noon, and 3-5 p.m. April 23 at Chapel Hill Dental Arts, 429 Route 35, Red Bank. Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A., has announced that the following local residents have been selected for inclusion on the 2009 "New Jersey Super Lawyers" list as designated by Law & Politics magazine: David M. Wildstein, Long Branch; and Hesser G. McBride Jr. and Randall J. Richards, both Middletown. Selected for inclusion on the Rising Stars list were Todd E. Lehder, Fair Haven, and John E. Hogan, Shrewsbury. The lists were published in the April edition of New Jersey Monthly and New Jersey Super Lawyers. Five percent of lawyers in the state are named to the list, and only 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state are named to the Rising Stars list. Wilentz has local offices in Woodbridge and Eatontown.
