CASA annual 5K race/walk Aug. 29

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Monmouth County and the Jersey Shore Running Club will team up for CASA's annual 5K race and fun walk Aug. 29 at Joe Palaia Park, Ocean Township (rain or shine). Registration will open at 8 a.m., and the run/walk will begin at 9 a.m.

The event will feature prizes, kids' activities and games. Proceeds will benefit CASA's mission to recruit, screen and train community volunteers to advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children in foster care in Monmouth County.
