NOTES

Students at CPC's High Point Schools, Morganville, get an up-close look at an Army National Guard helicopter that landed on the school's baseball field in May. The Kiowa 58 piloted by Chief Warrant Officers Todd Collins and Mike Chiaco is used in leadership and drug-awareness programs for schools as well as counterdrug programs. The pilots used the helicopter to focus the students on messages of safety, such as wear a bike helmet, wear seatbelts, and don't drink and drive. The most important message was "Don't do drugs." Chiaco illustrated how the helicopter flies and its major parts. Both officers agreed that flying helicopters is a lot of fun. "To be a success in life, do something that is fun," advised Chiaco.
