Borough declares Hypnosis Day

MATAWAN — Mayor Paul Buccellato proclaimed Jan. 4 as World Hypnosis Day in Matawan at the Jan. 1 Borough Council meeting and presented Rosemary Conte with a formal proclamation.

Conte is a clinical hypnotist and president of the Central Jersey Chapter of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists.

According to Conte, World Hypnosis Day is observed all over the world where educational programs about modern hypnosis techniques and demonstrations take place throughout January. Conte is offering free hypnosis treatment to Matawan military veterans suffering from stress disorders, with treatment to begin anytime in January.
